Literature:

Porcelain, very finely painted in the colors of the famille rose. The man pulls the cart with all his strength. On this he caries his whole household, his whole life. His wife and his five children are sitting on it. Behind the cart a small black dog is running, obviously belonging to his family. The man holds the string of the cart on the shoulder and is bending strongly forward to get his life into move. In the upper half of the plate an essay of Bai Juxi (Qianlong to Jiaqing period) in beautiful cursive script in small characters. On the left a colophon of Wu Shaoqiao (1887-1968).
